Stars On Youtuber

Stars On Youtuber :- The video of a beauty star on YouTube would generally begin with an energetic formal greeting (especially ‘HELLO GUYS!” or “HELLO PEOPLE!”).

Then the background changes, from the living room to bedroom, sometimes giving a full detour of the house. Along with that the subject also changes from beauty, fashion to philosophies of life.

But one thing always remains the same. It is that the entire video is being done by a single person− from writing the scripts, shooting the video to the editing part.

Nowadays on YouTube, the channels related to beauty and fashion are trending the most. At the third annual fan fest in Mumbai, the Entertainment Head of YouTube India, Satya Raghavan, said that the watch rate of beauty and fashion videos has increased by 138%.

When it is compared to other types of videos, it can be seen that videos of independent musicians has risen by 92% while videos featuring comedy and entertainment has risen by 100%.

This is the reason that four beauty and fashion channels on YouTube which are from India have a total of over 100 million views.

Shruti Arjun Anand was getting bored waiting to get the US work visa in 2011 when she decided to make videos. In 2013 she moved to Noida to become a full-time Stars On Youtuber.

Scherzade Shroff began her first channel ‘Sherry Shroff’ as a creative outlet. Now she successfully runs three channels on YouTube.

Komal Narang’s parents got divorced and she chose the medium of YouTube to share her loneliness through her channel ‘My Happinesz’.

Debasree Banerjee wanted to become a star on YouTube from 2009 when she first learnt about the medium. In 2013, she quit her job and start working on her YouTube channel.

The next door YouTuber

The content of the videos of these beauty Stars On Youtuber are usually found in lifestyle sections of newspaper and magazine. YouTube videos have an advantage over print medium because when it comes to makeup video, there is a friendly relatable face and every step is being broken down into segments.

Moreover, the video is made from the experience of the content creator which makes it more realistic and relatable.

While most of the Stars On Youtuber started with a bad sound, grainy footage and with a poor technical skill; they eventually managed to work on their shortcomings.

Now they have more than one channel. While the main channel is focussed on make-up and fashion, the partner channel deals with the creators’ daily lives or vlogs.

Some of the most popular videos are the one where they show how to mimic a particular celebrity’s look. Moreover, the Question and Answer video, normally offered after reaching a certain number of subscriber base, is also famous.

Getting noticed

Shroff’s first video was a collaboration with the brand Maybelline and by the fifth video, she was interviewing the Bollywood actor Imran Khan.

But it was not the videos with actors that made her famous. The most viewed videos of Shroff are the collaborations with fellow YouTube stars like American fashion blogger Bethany Mota and Indian comedian Kanan Gill.

Shroff was a former model. So getting brand partnerships and views for her earlier videos was never a struggle as she already knew lot of people and had an audience.

On the other hand, Narang did not have a large community of friends and she said that her personalized content did the trick.

Her first video to reach 2000 views was named ‘Up Close & Personal’ where she spoke to a dermatologist recommended cream which burnt her face few days before her engagement.

The million views club

Except Anand, who has 3.9 lakh subscribers, all the other three almost began at the same time. While Shroff has 1.10 lakh subscribers, Narang has 57,000 and banerjee has 56,000 subscribers.

According to Banerjee, it is never the subscriber base but the passion, devotion, and consistency of the creator that makes the channel successful.

Nowadays many brands have realized that social media promotion through the hands of a blogger is an important marketing strategy as they can hit the right target audience unlike the traditional advertisements on TV.

Queens of the screen

Nowadays more and more Indians are turning to YouTube and choosing it as their career option. According to these four stars on YouTube, creating a career out of YouTube has now become easier.

There is a creator space at Whistling Woods (a film school in Mumbai). Moreover, YouTube India organises meeting to guide new people and tell them how to optimise videos and get more viewers easily.

These stars on YouTube have become so famous that even if they do not upload for a single week, their viewers would start writing to them. Sometimes they have to go through sleepless nights and even work on holidays to publish their content on time.

4 Eye-Catching Updates Done By Mozilla Firefox Quantum

Mozilla Firefox Quantum
Mozilla Firefox Quantum
Mozilla Firefox Quantum

Mozilla Firefox Quantum :- In today’s world of tech-savvy generation, internet plays a major role. From early morning to late at night, people constantly use the internet for doing their daily work.

To use the internet, a person has to take the help of a web browser. A web browser is a software application used for retrieving, presenting and traversing information resources on the World Wide Web.

The most popular web browsers are Chrome, Edge (which was preceded by Internet Explorer), Safari, Opera and Firefox.

Mozilla Firefox is a free and open-source web browser which was developed by the Mozilla Foundation and was released in the market on September 23, 2002.

Upon its release, it took the market from Internet Explorer as the latter was too slow and took time to load a particular website.

But when Google introduces a new freeware web, named Google Chrome, in September 2, 2008, Firefox faced some serious problems.

Since the past nine years, with its speed and simplicity, Google Chrome has mostly convinced many users to switch from whatever browser they are using. But with the recent update, Firefox is hoping to regain some of its lost markets.

After 13 years, Mozilla has come up with an updated version of its browser. It is named Mozilla Firefox Quantum or Firefox 57.

Though the beta version is out in the market, users have experienced that at the top level, Mozilla Firefox Quantum promises twice the speed than Chrome and moreover it takes less memory than Chrome. Here are some of the features of Mozilla Firefox Quantum.

  • It is faster

Mozilla Firefox Quantum is way too fast than its predecessor. Even if there are more than a number of tabs opened and online interactive apps like maps and email clients are opened, it takes just a snap to load pages.

From the moment a person types a URL in the address bar, he can notice the significant increase in the speed from the loading of the page to its responsiveness.

All this has been possible due to the change in the web rendering machine, which is also named Quantum. This machine has replaced the previous engine, named Gecko, which was used in the previous version of Firefox.

This is the first time Firefox has taken the advantage as the new machine Quantum splits the processing duties of multiple cores and it is optimized to work better on the newer hardware.

  • It has good looks

Apart from getting improvements in its performance, the Mozilla Firefox Quantum has also got an upgrade in its designs. The design is more clean and modern than all the previous versions of Firefox.

The modern look includes clear looks of the boxes and icons, while the rough edges have been shredded off. There is a distinct contrast between the active tab and the other tabs.

Along with the dark and light alternatives in the theme, there is an even distribution in the settings as it is well-spaced and laid out in a clear manner.

The pages containing the Extensions and Themes have the same layout. The Mozilla Firefox Quantum gives the extra added polish and simplicity which its predecessors lacked.

  • It is streamlined

Apart from the visual improvements, the Mozilla Firefox Quantum gives a new experience to the whole browsing scenario. For the first time the address bar and the search box can be combined into one.

At the top, a new library button has been added which can hold all the Bookmarks, History, Downloads, and all other important key components that are needed on a daily basis. This makes the interface a whole lot and allows easy access.

Moreover, if a person is using a Windows PC which has a touchscreen, the buttons and menus in the Mozilla Firefox Quantum get bigger and chunkier when it is touched.

  • It has some extra bonus features

Along with all the new features which the Mozilla Firefox Quantum has received due to the update, there are some features which are totally new to the world of web browsers.

Apart from all the new additions, the feature of taking screenshots is the coolest of them all. There is a tool in the right corner of the address bar of the Mozilla Firefox Quantum browser which allows the user to take clippings of the webpage.

There are options to take a snap of the whole page or take the snap of the part that is visible. The clippings can later be seen by the user when needed.

What Is Halloween 2017

Halloween 2017
Halloween 2017
Halloween 2017

It is the spookiest time of the year. The 31st October has come and it is the time for Halloween. This year Halloween 2017 falls on Tuesday.

What is Halloween?

Halloween (also known as Allhalloween, All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints’ Eve) comes from the word Hallowe’en, meaning ‘hallowed evening’ or holy evening.

It is a spooky celebration observed in many countries every year on the last day of October, which is also the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows’ Day, also known as All Saints’ Day.

Early history behind Halloween 2017

Many people believe that the origin of this festival dates back to the Celtic pagan festival of Samhain, meaning ‘Summer’s End’.

This festival marked the end of harvest season and the beginning of the cold winter. The Celtics would bid farewell to the warm days as the length of the day began to get shortened.

The Celts believed that during the festival of Samhain, the boundary between the world of the living and the dead becomes the thinnest.

As a result they feared that spirits could pass through the boundary and cause damage to their crops for the next season.

So to appease any spirits, they would set up separate places for them at the dinner table. And to scare off the evil spirits, bonfires were lit.

Later history behind Halloween 2017

In the later years, the Irish carved out demon’s face in turnips and lit candles in them to frighten away the evil spirits.

But in 1840, due to less production of turnips and abundance of pumpkins, the Irish started carving faces on the pumpkins.

In the 1st century A.D., the Romans occupied the Celtic lands and incorporated many Celtic traditions, including the tradition of celebrating Samhain.

After eight hundred years, the Roman Catholic Church modified the event of Samhain, and announced 1st November as All Saints’ Day, in honor of all Catholic saints.

In England, All Saints’ Day was known as All Hallows’ Day.

Since then, the evening before i.e. 31st October is known as All Hallows’ Eve, which is later modified into the American word ‘Halloween’.

The reason behind dressing up in Halloween 2017

The Celts used to dress up in white and paint their faces black during the festival of Samhain. They believed that by doing this evil spirits would be tricked into thinking that the people in weird dresses are ghosts and would leave them alone.

Later in the 11th century, this tradition came to be called as ‘souling’. Children would dress up like angels, demons or saints and go from door-to-door asking for soul cakes.

The soul cakes were in fact sweets with a cross marked on the top of them. The children would ask for them in exchange for prayers for close ones.

It was then believed that if a soul cake was eaten, it would free a soul from purgatory.

Later in the 19th century, the children stopped giving prayers. Instead, they started to offer songs, poetry and jokes in exchange for fruits or money.

Halloween trick-or-treat

The phrase trick-or-treat was first used in 1927 in America. The tradition of offering songs, poetry and jokes were over. And in place of that pranks were done in exchange for sweets.

With the rise in the gothic themes in literature during the Victorian ages, costumes became more scary and adventurous.

People started to dress up like bats, ghosts or even like an Egyptian pharaoh. With the rise of pop culture, costumes became more sexualized in the 1970s.

Many people also fall prey to pranks during Halloween. From scaring people in the sleep to chasing them dressed as ghosts− the list would go on.

Theory behind carving pumpkins

According to folktales, many people believe in the story of Stingy Jack, who had once fooled the devil into buying him a drink.

After his death, Jack was neither allowed entrance to heaven nor hell. Instead, he was sent to earth with a burning coal to roam upon earth as a ghost.

Jack put the coal into a turnip and turned it into a lantern and hence was named Jack O’ Lantern.

After the lesser production of turnips and its higher rates in the 1940s, carving of turnips was stopped. Pumpkins were started to be carved as it was cheap and there was plenty pf production.

So what are you waiting for? Grab your Halloween costume and go spooking people around. Happy Halloween!

Israel Farming Technology in India

Israel Farming Technology in India
Israel Farming Technology in India
Israel Farming Technology in India

It has been more than 25 years that the countries India and Israel have established a good diplomatic relation. But it is undoubtedly the relation in the agricultural field that has strengthened the bond between the two countries.

Israel has been a world leader when it comes to the matter of agriculture despite the fact that more than half of the land is a desert. The country’s extensive research has increased the quality and quantity of the crops that the country produces.

Afar from the political drama and media attention, the India-Israel Agricultural Project (IIAP) has created a revolution and has helped farmers from all over to country to harvest and produce a good amount of crops every year.

Launched in the year of 2008, the IIAP has aimed at setting up many specialized centers all across India. At first, it was a three-year Action Plan based on the Government to Government Agreement.

At present 15 such Centres of Excellence (CoE) are operational which are administered and jointly run by MASHAV, Israel’s Agency for International Development and India’s Ministry of Agriculture.

The Centres of Excellence are funded by Federal Government NHM (National Horticulture Mission) and by other individual State Governments.

In the upcoming years, there is the plan to open 12 more centers which will take the total number of centers to 27.

The main goals of IIAP are as follows−

  • Increase in diversity of the crops
  • Increase in production of the crops
  • Increase in the resources use efficiency

Work of the Centres of Excellence

The extensive research and study are all performed in these centers to increase the productivity as well as improve the quality of the produced goods.

The Israel farming technology in India has been successful in offering many agricultural practices to benefit the Indian farmers, such as Hi-Tech poly-houses to walking tunnels and net houses.

The basic concept of the Centre of Excellence is based on the triangular format of Applied Research, SMS Field Extension Officer and the Progressive Farmer.

  • Applied Research

Under the Israel farming technology in India, the Department of Applied Research studies and provides a solution for a better harvest.

The Seed producing companies bring their seeds in the Applied Research department and perform a test and parameters such as yield, quality, and tolerance of diseases are being observed.

Apart from that, another important work of the Applied Research department is to analyze the plant protection products and to work on new technologies on the local conditions, pruning periods, fertilization and irrigation.

The department also produces high quality, healthy, virus and pest-free seeds and saplings.

  • SMS (Subject Matter Specialist) Field Extension Officer

They work as a bridge and link the Applied Research department with the farmers.

The linkage has two parts− one to disseminate the knowledge and the second is to make sure that the proper methods are being implemented by the farmers.

This means that the Applied Research department studies and introduces new methods for the betterment of crops, and the SMS Field Extension Officer makes sure they the methods reach the farmers and is properly utilized.

  • Progressive farmers

They are the farmers who implement the methods told to them by the SMS Field Extension Officers.

After the success of the method, the progressive farmers become the role model for other farmers.

The first success of the Israel farming technology in India was in Gharaunda of state Haryana.

The success came from a plant nursery which produces lakhs of vegetable plug seedlings in a year which utilizes plug-seedling technology.

In the plug seedling technology, the plants are grown in small, individual cells, which are later made ready to be transplanted into other containers or in a field.

The seedlings included hybrid seeds of tomatoes, cherry-tomatoes, colored capsicum, cucumbers, eggplant, chili peppers, and more.

Another success story of the Israel farming technology in India was in Dapoli of the state of Maharashtra.

At this center, 20- to 60-year old and 12-meter high mango trees underwent a special process of rejuvenation.

The process was to plant extra saplings in between the trees resulting in the density of the orchard from 100 trees per hectare to 400 trees per hectare.

The result was very significant in two years as the trees produced fruits with higher weight, better color and better taste.

A third success story of the Israel farming technology in India was in the states of Nagpur, Maharashtra, and Mangiana present in the state of Haryana.

Thirteen varieties of citrus trees were planted which produced easy peeler, early season and late season oranges and grapefruits.

Some Fitness Competition Diet

Fitness competition Diet
Fitness competition Diet

Fitness competition Diet is more than just a beauty pageant. Although one has to spend just 30 seconds on the stage, yet the preparation for that grand moment is not an easy job.

Apart from hard work, an athlete must focus on his/her diet. A Fitness competition Diet plan is about building muscle and losing fat.

Proper intake of calories for muscle retention

The key to maintaining muscles while losing fat is to intake the right amount of calories.

Too much of calories will lead to accumulation of fat while taking less amount of calories will prevent the building of muscles.

A gradual loss of 1 pound a week is ideal for maintaining that balance. By reducing the calorie intake by 500 calories a day than regular, one should promote a 1-pound weekly weight loss.

Balancing between carbohydrates, proteins, and fats

A fitness competitor needs to know how to maintain the balance between the intake of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

Generally, a high-carbohydrate diet is recommended for athletes. But according to a study, a fitness competitor may get better results eating higher amounts of protein.

In general, a fitness competitor should consume 2.3 grams to 3.1 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. For a 120-pound fitness competitor, it is generally 125 grams to 169 grams.

Carbohydrates should be determined according to the competitor’s body type. As carbohydrates are the main reason for the production of fats, one must keep a keen look on the amount of carbohydrate one intakes.

There should be healthy fats in the diet as well. For a fitness competitor, a good diet should contain 20-30g of fat, and supplement with nuts or nut butter should be taken to ensure reaching those numbers.

Fifteen to thirty percent of calories should come from fat, while the rest should come from carbohydrates.

Say no to junk foods

A fitness competitor should eliminate the intake of junk food from the very first day. Junk foods tend to add extra fats to our body and disrupt the rhythm of a balanced diet.

Limit cheat meals to one day on the weekend. Start buying and cooking food items at home, and also by weighing and measuring portions.

A Fitness competition Diet should get restricted to simple sugars that are found in fruits and complex carbohydrates. Say no to junk food sweets or candy.

Full-fat dairy products should be replaced by low-fat or fat-free versions. Along with these a Fitness competition Diet should increase the intake of fiber gradually to 35g per day.

The right supplements

  • Multi-Vitamin/Mineral− This is an absolute necessity. While on reduced calories and strenuous exercise, one is depleting the body of its necessary vitamins and nutrients. So doubling this supplement can also be done.
  • Extra Vitamin C− As there is rigorous training, the immune system is severely weakened. Vitamin C is needed to boost it.
  • Extra Calcium− Most multivitamins contain 500 mg of calcium. An additional 500 mg in morning and evening doses in needed to meet the minimum requirement.
  • Glucosamine Complex− Glucosamine helps in rebuilding cartilage around the joints and hence prevents injuries which might be caused due to rigorous training.
  • Water− A minimum of 3-4 liters per day should be taken. Apart from many bodily functions, it keeps the skin clear and helps the fitness competitor to feel full while dieting.

Consistency and when and what to eat

Eat three to six meals a day. Eat a meal or snack two hours prior workout, and a carbohydrate and protein snack immediately after.

Be consistent from the very first day to get a good result during the Fitness competition Diet.

The perfect balanced diet

A 120-pound fitness competitor should take 150 grams of protein, 20 grams of fat and 130 grams of carbohydrates.

For breakfast, seven egg whites scrambled in 1 teaspoon of oil, one slice of whole wheat toast and one half of a small banana.

For a mid-morning snack, 3 ounces of tuna with whole-grain crackers and an apple.

For lunch, 3 ounces of grilled chicken with 3 cups of mixed greens, 2 tablespoons of raisins, balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

For a mid-afternoon snack, 3/4 cups of non-fat cottage cheese with 1 cup of fresh pineapple.

For dinner, 3 ounces of broiled salmon with 2 cups of steamed broccoli and 1/3 cup of brown rice.

End the day with half of a turkey sandwich made with one slice of whole white-bread, 3 ounces of lean turkey and 1 cup of carrot sticks.

Benefits of Coconut Oil In the wide world of flora and fauna, coconut trees stand apart mainly for its overall usefulness. In fact, the fruit alone and the oil that is extracted from it have many benefits in the world of medicine and cosmetics.

Presence of saturated fats #Benefits of Coconut Oil

When generally thinking of using any kind of oil during cooking, the first thing that pops in our mind is the amount of fat the oil contains. Coconut oil is more than 90% saturated fat or about 11.8 grams per 15 milliliters compared to about 63% or 7.2 grams for the same amount of butter.

This saturated fat is generally considered to be ‘bad’ fat that tends to increase the cholesterol level, especially the bad cholesterol. But this theory does not apply in case of coconut oil.

About half of the saturated fats are medium-chain fatty acids which are easier to digest than the long-chain fatty acids present in most oils, including butter.

These medium-chain fatty acids go straight from digestive tract to the liver and become a quick source of energy. This itself is one of the great health benefits of coconut oil.

Ketones− good for epilepsy #Benefits of Coconut Oil

Apart from producing energy, the medium-chain fatty acids are also turned into ketones in the liver which acts as a natural medicine for epileptic patients.

The diet of epileptic patients should include a very little carbohydrate and the large amount of fats, which increases the concentration of ketones in the blood.

The ketones can dramatically reduce the rate of seizures in epileptic patients.

Consumption of medium chain triglycerides through the coconut oil can improve brain function and hence reduce the symptoms of Alzheimer’s.

Helps to burn more fat #Benefits of Coconut Oil

Obesity is currently one of the biggest health problems in the world. This is caused due to the less burning of body calories and hence accumulation of the excess amount of fat.

This fat gets accumulated especially in the abdominal cavity and around organs. This is the most dangerous fat of all and is associated with many chronic diseases.

Studies have shown that coconut oil can be very effective dealing with these fats.

The medium-chain triglycerides in coconut oil have been shown to increase calories burned over 24 hours by as much as 5%. This can, in turn, reduce the body weight.

Reduces appetite #Benefits of Coconut Oil

Another health benefit of coconut oil is that it reduces appetite. This happens mainly because of the metabolization of fats into ketones, which has an appetite reducing the effect.

Studies have shown this to be a short-term effect. Had it been longer, it could have a dramatic influence on body weight over several years.

Kills harmful micro-organisms #Benefits of Coconut Oil

Almost 50% of the fatty acids in coconut oil is the 12-carbon Lauric acid. When this acid is digested, it forms a substance called Monolaurin.

Both Monolaurin and Lauric acid is capable of killing bacteria, virus and fungi.

Studies have shown that these substances are capable of killing Staphylococcus Aureus, which is a very dangerous pathogen.

They are also capable in killing the yeast Candida Albicans, a common source of yeast infection in humans.
