Artificial satellites are man-made tools that orbiting the Earth in a fixed orbit. To maintain their balance, these satellites revolve around their axis too.
India launched its first artificial satellite on April 19, 1975 in Russia from space. The name of this artificial satellite of India was named ‘Aryabhata’ in the name of fifth-century Indian astronomer and mathematician Aryabhatta.
The load of satellite Aryabhata is 3560 kilograms. It is orbiting the Earth at a speed of 8 kilometers per second and completes one revolution in 93.41 minutes.
There are 26 faces of Aryabhata satellites, 18,500 solar cells have been installed. Its aim was to use some scientific experiments and research in space for about six months from its launch period: But due to some malfunction it could not be used for longer time.
